Game 10 – Dude, Party Foul

You know, however much I’ll take a easy win, I *really* hate it when someone just decides to give up and feed.

For instance, this game. Granted, Noctune was fed like a fat kid at Thanksgiving by just murdering the crap out of top & bottom lanes…

Near the end, Olaf decided to just give up and was running up the bot lane to die to the towers. That’s just cowardice, and is not fab. Taric disapproves.

Game 09 – Welcome to the juuuuuungle…

Yes, that post title is correct. It totally happened.

To be fair, it worked surprisingly well. Major problem was… well… Alistar DC’d. And the enemy team seemed to have paid off Lady Luck, since they often escaped/survived fights they shouldn’t have.

Probably not the best build, but I wasn’t really expecting to *play* Jungletaric, so I was winging it with the first one I could find on Mobafire. The runes were definitely different, though, didn’t have a chance to set that one up specifically. Was using AD reds, Armor yellows, MR/level blues and AD quints. Wasn’t watching the time to see how fast he was clearing, but it felt like it was at a respectable rate, and once he got his heal he didn’t really need potions past the first three out of the cloth + 5 start since the cooldown was coming up so fast from all the melee. (If you’ve got a better one, let me know.)

Flashing out of a bush and stunning someone is a *mean* gank. Honestly, if we had our fifth man we probably could’ve won this, since we were actually doing extremely well at catching the enemies out of position later-on and winning skirmishes. At one point we were pushing their outer base turrets. It’s come up before, but you just hit that point in a 4v5 where you can try to fight back, but it’s just a inevitability. You’ll botch a fight, and then they’ll push all your towers/take Baron and win.

Sadly my virus checker decided to break LOLReplay again so I didn’t get it recorded. I think I’ve gotten it permanently fixed so it shouldn’t happen again.

Game 08 – NO ULTS FOR YOU!

There is nothing quite as beautiful as seeing the enemy team pick both Katarina and Nunu when you know you’re going to be playing Taric.

“Oh, look, someone’s having a seizure and throwing knives everywhere. We should help her out. *DAZZLE!* There, feel better? Oh, I hope so, because you’re now dead.”

“Oh, look, someone thinks they’re going to do a bunch of frosty AOE damage to the entire team. *DAZZLE!*”

Dazzle. Deal with it. *crosses arms and puts on shades* Game 8 Replay Link.

Game 07 – Gentleman Enemy Alistar is Credit To Team

Back to running the “armor wall” of support runes & items.

I like to think this game was karma swing back around my direction for the last few, since the enemy Alistar was basically the unofficial sixth man of our team. His knockback headbutt probably saved my life and got his lane-partner Miss Fortune killed *so* many times.

Mid was a bit of trouble, though, since they goofed a couple times and fed LeBlanc some early kills so she was gibbing the crap out of them.

And, of course, LOLReplay didn’t record this one either. Going to try doing a clean install of it before playing any more games.

Game 06 – The More Things Change…

Jarvan DC’d at the beginning of the game, we had to fight a man down.

Results were predictable, although we were actually doing decent and got a ace or two in there. Snagged the Rylia’s because I figured I could use the damage to help with fights.

Counting it as a troll. (And yes, there was no Game 5 because Taric wasn’t played.) No replay, either, since I didn’t know the “new” version I downloaded the other day was still busted. Got the latest now, so should be okay from here on in.

Game 04 – In Which We Get Back On The Train

Another game with the armor yellows & mana regen reds. Slight tweak in the item build  this time in that I actually picked up a Lucky Pick for all three gold/5 items.

Oh, look. What happens when you don't get trolls.

Oh, look, what happens when you don’t get trolls in your game and everyone gels nicely. For some reason, Ashe/Taric seems to be my best lane combo lately. Being able to open up a engage with a Nuclear Stun Arrow and Dazzle once you hit 6 really means someone opposing you is going to die.

Made a slightly poor choice to dive early-on. Almost killed Nid, but forgot I wasn’t six yet so I didn’t have my ult. Whoops. Turned it around when we got back in lane to double-kill both Ez and Nid, so all was forgiven. Things just went down-hill for the enemy team after that. They kept on playing forward, I’d stun, Ashe would kill, and we’d run away with giant sacks of cash to the item shop.

Nid’s spears were actually pretty scary when they’d hit, though. Glad I got those MR boots.

Victory (finally!), +13 Ranking to 839. (LOLRecorder seems to be having some issues after the patch, looks like it won’t upload ATM. Will edit the replay link in later if I can get it to work.)

Game 03 – More of the Same

Tried a slightly different build this time. Mana regen reds, armor yellows, MR blues, gold/5 quints. Definitely has a nice mix of burliness and still having mana to actually cast abilities.
How’d it go?

Things that might not be apparent at first glance:

Ashe was mid, Morg was bottom. Awesome, so my armor reduction from shatter was basically useless during laning.

I seriously want to spite-ban Morg all games from now on due to that… incredibly rude Morg. Seriously, does she attract all the drama-queen buttholes or something? She was talking shit the entire game, and was totally useless herself. The Junglestar was actually pretty damn impressive, even if he did have a bit of a problem with self-preservation. Often didn’t run away from a fight. Ashe got her teeth kicked in during laning. I’m assuming the whole “put a AD mid to counter Kass” is a thing, but it totally wasn’t a thing that game.

Had a decent game myself, although I found it hilarious that I was getting bitched at for kill-stealing. Yeah, I was totally expecting a rank 1 Dazzle to kill that Shaco, and wasn’t doing it to try to stun him so someone else could get the kill. Totally KSing on purpose, guys. Really tempted to put together a AP “support” build sometime and just take all the kills. Because they’re Taric’s kills, deal with it.

Surprised more people didn’t build MR, since Kassadin was just barfing void vomit on people and destroying them.

Will actually count this one as a loss, we really got out-played here. -13 ranking to 826. Game 3 Replay Download Link.

Game 02 – Y U GO AFK?

Damnit, Lee Sin.

Luck of the draw tonight. This time around, we get a Lee Sin who’s jungling and went AFK for the first few minutes…

…and then went AFK in the jungle while his middle lane was getting butchered. Was actually a pretty rough game all around, since Nocturne was jumping on our shit all the time, and Leona/Ez was pretty rough. Actually fightable, though.

Tried doing more of a “traditional” Taric support rune set this time, with MagicPen reds, mana regen yellows, AP blues, and movement speed quints. Gotta say, I really missed the extra durability the armor seals & runes gave and gold/5 the quints brought. Even *if* I would’ve been personally more dangerous due to having some actual AP.

Counting this one as a Troll too. -12 ranking to 839. Game 02 Replay Download Link.

Game 01 – Team We’re Tanky versus Team We’re Actually All Connected

And here we go…

Damnit, Singed.

Damnit, Singed.

Started out well. Ended up going 2/0/0 early-on when I was able to snag some kills on Varus. And then Singed DC’d.

Well. Shit. For a while it wasn’t actually too bad, since they would get caught out of position a lot and we’d pick up some kills.. but then you hit that point of critical mass where people have items, and you really can’t fight back against a team that’s slightly competent and a man up.

I’ll count that one up as a T (for Troll). -12 rating. Replay Download link.
